{"id":1087,"date":"2014-09-30T11:06:54","date_gmt":"2014-09-30T11:06:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nerdorturd.com\/webdevelopments\/nerdorturd\/?p=1087"},"modified":"2017-03-06T16:11:39","modified_gmt":"2017-03-06T16:11:39","slug":"stop-windows-7-libraries-folder-opening-on-start-up-solved","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nerdorturd.com\/webdevelopments\/nerdorturd\/stop-windows-7-libraries-folder-opening-on-start-up-solved\/","title":{"rendered":"Stop Windows 7 Libraries Folder Opening on Start up [SOLVED]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nerdorturd.com\/webdevelopments\/nerdorturd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/libraries-folder-opens-on-boot.png?ssl=1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1088\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nerdorturd.com\/webdevelopments\/nerdorturd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/libraries-folder-opens-on-boot.png?resize=168%2C230&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"libraries folder opens on boot\" width=\"168\" height=\"230\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThis tip will stop the libraries folder opening on start up.<\/p>\n<p>I tried many ways to solve this issue and below is the solution that worked for me and will hopefully work for you.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to &gt; Start Menu &gt; Run &gt;<\/li>\n<li>Type: &#8220;regedit&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Click &#8220;OK&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Browse to the following path way by clicking on each folder on the left hand side.<br \/>\n&#8220;HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows NT\\CurrentVersion\\Winlogon&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>On the right hand side you will see Name: &#8220;Userinit&#8221; Type: REG_SZ and Data: &#8220;c:\\windows\\system32\\userinit.exe,userinit.exe&#8221; (This is what mine was).<\/li>\n<li>Double click on &#8220;Userinit&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Now change the Data to: &#8220;c:\\windows\\system32\\userinit.exe&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Click &#8220;OK&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Now reboot and this sh0uld help solve your issue.PS.
